Welcome to Harrogate Round Table
Christmas Hamper Appeal 2016
Each year we aim to bring some Christmas cheer to local people who need a little extra support by providing a hamper full of goodies. These hampers are distributed to the elderly, young carers, the homeless and vulnerable residents in Harrogate and surrounding areas.
We rely on the support of the local community to make this event a success. If you can help by providing goods, a donation or if your business would like to be our headline sponsor then please contact us.
If you know of anybody who would benefit from receiving a hamper we'd also love to hear from you.
What do you do on a Wednesday night?
Not a great deal? Well, why not come along and join us? We get together two or three times a month (normally on a Wednesday night) for organised activities and events. These range from the sublime to the extreme – take a look at our list of events here>>
And when we’re not doing that, we’re doing this...
We also have a full programme of one off annual events such as a weekend trip to Europe, summer BBQ, Burns Night Supper, camping weekend, physical challenge, trip to the Panto (oh yes we do...), Christmas dinner, plus many more. Many of these events are also open to wives/partners and families. Find out more about the social side of Table here>>
But the most important thing is...
The work we do in the local community to raise money for charity and help others. We’re not full time bucket shakers but we are committed to raising money for good causes locally. Our two biggest events are the Stray bonfire which celebrated its 44th year this year and the Harrogate Beer Festival. We also do a lot of other worthwhile community work like organising and distributing hampers at Christmas, helping with Poppy distribution and other fundraising activity. Why not give it a try
Ask 10 members of Round Table why they joined and you will get 10 different answers. It’s the social side, meeting new people, contributing to the local community, having a laugh, expanding your friendship group, doing something different. The list goes on………
