The Fireworks Display and Bonfire

Harrogate 2004 Fireworks dispaySaturday 3rd November 2007 starting at 7pm
Oatlands Stray, Harrogate

As well as being a fantastic night out, the Harrogate Bonfire is an excellent fund raiser. Before the event, enough sponsorship is raised to cover the cost of fireworks and miscellaneous expenses. During the day, local building firms kindly donate as much spare wood as they can while the Round Table builds a bonfire taking care not to exceed the Council's guidelines on the maximum permissable size of fire on the Stray.

The police estimated that over 10,000 people gathered on the stray to watch the fireworks in 2006 and we raised over £6,000 for local charities.

On the night, members of the Round Table ask people watching the fireworks for a donation. No-one is charged, everyone gives what they can.

Our thanks to Harrogate Council for supporting the bonfire enthusiastically and financially.
