The event which was held at the Masonic Hall on Station Avenue on 12th November, was attended by approximately 70 people who played various casino games and then took part in an auction of items donated by local businesses.

Highlights of the auction included a Newcastle United football shirt autographed by the team, a walking day with Mark Reid the author of the Inn Way series of books, and meals donated by local restaurants including the Raj Put, BED and Brios.

Also donated was a ‘Man Friday’ in the form of local business man Mark Watson, who auctioned his services for the day.

Attending the evening was Director the Harrogate Homeless Project David Hannam, who described how the project operated and explained the need for on going support.

Mark Warr, Chairman of Harrogate and District Round Table commented: ‘We thank all the local businesses who have donated to the event, and to everyone who attended on the night. As well as having an excellent time, we have been able to donate a sizable sum to a very worth cause.’
