The Christmas Collection

Each year, one cold, invariably drizzling, Saturday morning in December the Harrogate Round Table holds it's Christmas collection. A troupe of volunteers holds court outside Woolworths. Santa is there, in his sleigh, offering sweets to passing children; Christmas music plays and even on the coldest, wettest wnter morning the spirit of Christmas is present.

The generosity of Harrogate Christmas shoppers was responsible for raising over £900 in 2004.
